If a person wanted to *disappear* from the government, they could do so quite easily. To live in the US, you are not required to notify the police, FBI, INS or any agency informed as to your whereabouts at all times. A driver's license, registering to vote, getting a library card, etc are voluntary – you don't need them to live in the US. Conceivably, a person could even go underground, work on a cash-only basis and never pay income taxes.

(Remember the Unabomber, Ted Kaczynski? He lived for years in a tiny cabin in Montana, and it was his brother who voluntarily informed the FBI where he was living.)

So, if you truly want a "checkout" system, you all had better be prepared to tell the gov't where you are living, visiting or vacationing at all times. And if you move, you need to notify the authorities, and pay a fine or go to jail if you 'forget.' And anyone who shelters a visitor who forgets to notify the gov't should also be charged as an accessory.

Is that what we want – a society in which people spy on others and report them to the police, about who lives where? What happens if your relatives come to visit? Neighbors will lose trust in neighbors. (A great system to annoy the heck out of your annoying neighbors. And vice-versa. Not.)

In case you think it can't happen, think again. Every citizen and visitor to Germany must report in their address with their local police department. Hotels are required to write down passport numbers for foreigners and send the list to the local police. Even in 2006.

firstly generally,

Market order means to buy / sell at current price

buy limit order means to buy at the limit price or lower.

sell limit order means to sell at the limit price or higher.

Are you using MT4?

Anyway since you are doing DEMO, why don't you experiment?

If it is a market order, you will see your order appear in the chart at the current price.

Pending orders will requrie you to specify a entry price and if you place it, it will appear at the price you specified.

Anecdotal evidence seems to indicate that at least 95% of "retail forex" customers lose (you can search the Web for various stats on this, for what that's worth).

Very few retail traders can open a "real" forex account that can trade against bank trading desks. Probably need $2,000,000 minimum or so to do that, plus be able to convince them that you're something big.

The "forex" accounts typically promoted on the Internet aren't the same — with those, you're actually trading against your own broker, who issues OTC securities to you. This puts you in the rather awkward position of being in diametric financial opposition to your broker.

I think FX is one of the hardest things to deal with due to the # of variables affecting it and that you need large amount of $ to make profit.

I remember coming to a FX broker presentation one day; they showed their trading system and then offered to leverage our investment. IIRC, it was something like if you invest $ 2.5K then they'll lend you $ 25K (most likely on margin).

The presentation made me want to build a FX trading system though

Bad news… your recourse is to void the contract and get your money back.

Now, you "could" get your money back, re-book the accommodations you originally booked – at the higher price – and then sue the travel agent for the damages you incurred – i.e. the extra you paid.

BUT… first you'll have to pay up front, then you need to be VERY sure there's no language in the travel agencies TOS that says something like "we are not responsible for consequential damages".

I answer mostly in Yahoo! Products, so many of my answers are for technical problems and require factual answers. However, there are always complex, emotional type questions around. I just try to be aware of the guidelines, be clear, and be courteous when answering. Same thing when dealing with violations. When I've received one, I've been shocked. Then, I do the steps above to try to take care of it, as I'd rather not lose my account over incorrect violations issues.

As you doubtless know we need to move quickly away from our current levels of net carbon emissions and I've doubtful (admittedly from only superficial knowledge) that the existing emissions trading system will deliver in time, if at all.

It seems to me that we need to move swiftly towards a position where the cost of carbon emissions resulting from each and every product or service consumed is incorporated onto the price. When, if at all, can we expect that to be achieved with the current trading system?
